Stevens Family Scholarship

The application window for this annual scholarship is now closed. 

The Stevens Family Scholarship was created in honor of family matriarch Allene Broyhill Stevens and funds a week-long visual arts workshop at Cheap Joe's Art Stuff in Boone. It is available for established, individual Caldwell County artists 21 years of age or older who have not received a prior scholarship. Caldwell Arts Council Staff, Board of Directors, and their immediate families are also ineligible to apply.

As part of this opportunity, Cheap Joes provides a $150 gift card for supplies to each scholarship recipient.

Sponsored by the Stevens Family Foundation, Cheap Joe's Art Stuff, and the Caldwell Arts Council, the scholarship is offered annually. The next application window opens in early January 2024 with a February 28 deadline for 2024 in-person classes. Recipients will be announced in March.
